If your health journey feels overwhelming, it's not because you're failing, it's because the system has failed you. You've been told you need perfection, hustle, and impossible routines to feel better. But I'm here to change all of that.

What if the real key to lasting change was about doing less, not more?

In this episode, we will uncover how simplifying your health goals lead to massive wins, and why the start of your breakthroughs closer than you think. Get a notebook or a journal. Because I am dropping some truth bombs that you don't want to miss. That's all. Coming up next right here and embrace your healing journey.

I'll never forget the moment I realized my daughter's health journey was spiraling into overwhelm and confusion. Not just for her, but for me as a mother, for a family trying to support her. Every appointment, every new treatment, every strict routine felt like we were doing more and more, but getting less and less and in return. And this went on for many, many years. And even though she was on strong medications, her eczema was still not under control. And at night she struggled to sleep without scratching constantly and that went on for years. It made sleep impossible on most nights, and one of us, either my husband or myself, usually slept with her, my mother and my mother in law so that we could make her as comfortable as possible. And then this went on for years. I mean, I think it was almost eight, ten years.

And then she was hospitalized due to a life threatening infection as a side effect of one of these medications. And she barely survived this. But after a harrowing month long stay in the ICU, she she recovered. We were very fortunate. And she came back home to a long road of recovery for her. I mean, I'm so grateful that, uh, she overcame that, and we overcame that. But one day when she.

I remember when she came back home and I was sitting by her bedside feeling exhausted and utterly powerless, I had a realization, it didn't happen on one, but I think that day, I, you know, sort of it all came together for me, uh, you know, because I was thinking that what if we were focusing on all the wrong things? What if healing and what if helping her was not? And finding a solution was not about doing more, but about simplifying but understanding what were the root issues, how to build a foundation to help her body to recover. And that shift changed everything.

So that is when I started searching for answers to questions that went beyond symptom management, and I decided to focus all of my energy to find out, to finding out how we could really support her body instead of fighting it, because that's what we had been doing all this while. We had been looking at eczema as an enemy. And we are trying we and her immune system as an enemy, and we were trying to fight it. We were trying to fight it with medications mostly, but all the treatments that we had done till then was actually just symptom based and trying to figure out ways to suppress the immune system. And it took me a really long time to figure this out and find out the best possible option. But I knew that there was no other way to find a long term solution that would actually work for her.

And that's when I came across functional medicine and much later, health coaching. And I've shared a journey of overcoming these challenges in episode one and share the link below. So we let go of the noise, prioritize what truly mattered. And then I took these small, consistent steps and a health did not just stabilize. It transformed. It didn't transform overnight. Of course, it took a couple of years, but it transformed our entire family one step at a time.

In fact, I wrote a book about this. It's called I Have Eczema. So what? And this was co-authored with my daughter's dermatologist. I shared a story of hope, love, and transformation, and it is available on Kindle as an e-book, and I'll share the show notes below. And today I want to share about how simplifying your health joining can create lasting change and lead to the results that you deserve without the overwhelm.

So if you're feeling stuck or unsure of where to turn next, this episode is for you. So if you are here, chances are that you've been dealing with symptoms that don't just affect your body, they affect your whole life.

So let me ask you this. Does any of this sound familiar? You're always exhausted. No matter how much you sleep. You wake up feeling like you're dragged yourself through the day. And coffee, of course, helps for a while. But then again, mid-afternoon, the crash hits and you are just running on reserve energy and your skin your. Maybe it's a itchiness that keeps you up at night. Maybe it's these rashes that keep coming and going and the redness, right? Or maybe it's the bloating, cramps, unpredictable tips for the trips to the bathroom and you don't know which meal is going to suit you. Or maybe the joints ache and your muscle feels heavy, so getting out of bed, climbing stairs, or even holding a cup of coffee feels more like more effort than it should. And, uh, you know, one minute you're on edge and snapping at the smallest things, and the next you're overwhelmed with sadness of frustration and you don't even know why. And of course, the symptoms can often be so unpredictable. And sometimes, you know, some days you feel okay and think maybe, just maybe, things are getting better and then bam, out of nowhere, there's fatigue, there's pain or flare ups.

So if this sounds like you know that you are not alone. These are not random symptoms. These are messages from your body saying, hey, I need your attention. But here's what I want you to know. You don't need to do it all, fix it all, or chase every new wellness trend out there. The real path to lasting change is not about doing more. It's about simplifying. It's about tuning into your body, listening to what it's asking for, and taking those small, consistent steps to support it. And I'm going to show you exactly how to start doing this so that you can move towards real, lasting wins. That includes your health goals, right? Because the symptoms aren't the problem. They're the result of something happening deeper inside your body. Your body is out of balance. And this is what may be actually driving your symptoms chronic inflammation.

If you've done any kind of research, you will hear the term inflammation. And you know when your immune system is basically in constantly in overdrive trying to fight off what it thinks to be threats, whether it's food sensitivities, toxins, stress, and it can actually lead to different symptoms like fatigue, joint pain, skin flare ups. And that's what makes it so hard because you can't pinpoint why, you know, these symptoms are cropping up because there is no one reason. But chronic inflammation is usually at the root of it all. And that's connected to gut. Your gut is the foundation of your health, and it's when it's out of balance, whether it's due to poor diet, stress, antibiotics or other factors, it can actually lead to bloating, nutrient deficiencies, and of course, systemic inflammation where we go again. So it leads back to inflammation. And of course, if your hormones are out of sync and it's not just sex hormones I'm talking about whether it's cortisol, thyroid hormones or even sex hormones, it can disrupt everything. So your sleep to your energy levels, to your mood. And in today's day and age, in unfortunately, our bodies are constantly exposed to environmental toxins. Whether it's your food, whether it's pollution, whether it's household chemicals. And that is, you know, it's also burdening your immune system. And of course, stress isn't just mental stress. It's physical. So chronic stress disrupts your nervous system, your digestion, your sleep and again, your immune system. So all of these things are, you know, very much there. But these issues aren't permanent. And that's the good news. They are your body's way of signaling that it needs your help to get back into balance. And when you address these root causes, you can stop managing symptoms. And that's when you start seeing real transformation. It's not so much about temporary changes. It's about real permanent change. Like that's sustainable. That's a long term solution that you've got.

So you've done everything you were told that would help and hurt. Maybe you are still stuck and you feel like nothing is really changing. If that sounds familiar, you may be. You may have tried following strict diets. You've eliminated foods. You followed every diet trend, you've planned your meals. But now somehow it has become like a full time job and you've still not seen the results. Or maybe your cabinet. You know your is full of vitamins, probiotics, powders, pills and you know they all promised, you know, energy, good energy levels, glowing skin pain relief. And you take them all every morning, but you don't feel any different. And this is more common today than ever before. We are being sold on the fact that taking a supplement instead of a medication will actually help us. That's not true. You need to do the other things. You need to be able to address what is at the root of it all. And of course, you may have already followed every prescription, hoping it would finally solve your problem. This is where we were with our daughter's medications. They help temporarily, not so much, but they didn't really offer the relief. And of course, they brought on side effects.

And you may be dealing with that too. And that because the side effects can lead to a whole new set of challenges and of course, seeking answers from multiple specialists, whether it is doctors, nutritionists, wellness experts, and each giving you a piece of the puzzle. And while some advice may have worked for you for a while, no one seemed to be able to put it all together right. It doesn't really make sense for you, and you can't really figure out what's the reality and what is relevant for you. And again, you've tried detoxes, juice cleanses, but they were so hard to sustain. And the minute you stopped doing them, the, you know, the benefits disappeared. And here's why. All of these, you know, this feel so frustrating. These solutions don't really address what your body is trying to tell you. They either focus on one piece of the puzzle or add more stress to an already overwhelming situation.

But what if there was a way to take a step back, listen to your body, and approach healing in a way that feels simple, aligned, and sustainable? What if the effort you've been putting in could finally lead to lasting health results, not just for your body, but for your entire life results for your entire life? That's what we are exploring today. And let me break it down for you, because I see that most people get this wrong.

Most people work too hard without seeing any long term results. It's not about seeing results and then going back to square one. It's not about juggling strict diet, exhausting workouts, endless supplements that actually become like a full time job because they don't work. So it's time for you to try a different approach, one that is simpler, one that is more aligned, and one that actually works. So let's get into it.

The first thing is to start listening to your body. I'm going to share five things that you can start. The first is start listening to your body. Your body is not your enemy. It is the best messenger you've got those symptoms that you are facing. They are not random. They are clues. So you need to ask yourself what triggers, what triggers your symptoms, right? Which meal or which stressful day or what is it that's going on. And you can track them. So awareness is of course the first step towards getting in sync with your body's natural rhythms.

The second thing that you need to do is simplify your approach. Perfection is overrated. If you are trying to do massive lifestyle and dietary changes. It is exhausting. But. Small and consistent steps. That's where the magic happens. So pick 1 or 2 changes, like drinking more water and adding one nourishing meal a day and let go of the clutter. Trying to do it all doesn't work, and if you need more inspiration, you can check out episode 22. It's called Keep it Simple Small Shifts for the Chronically Ill, and I will share it in the show notes below.

Number three build gentle, sustainable habits. Healing is a marathon, not a sprint. Forget the all or nothing mindset. Gentle, consistent habits will carry you further. So whether it's a five minute stretch, a short walk, or journaling your symptoms, celebrate every small win. And this is something that I struggle with a lot. I mean, celebrating small wins is not that something that comes to me easily, but it's a game changer because it helps you to stay motivated and show up for yourself.

Number four work with your body, not against it. I keep talking about it again and again because fighting your body will get you nowhere supporting it. That's what we make the difference. So whether it's whole foods, restorative movement, proper rest, ask your body what it needs to do and it's going to change from day to day. It might you know today it might be rest tomorrow, it might be connection or it might just be a deep breath. It doesn't have to be complicated. And I have, you know, talked about this in my blog post. I have actually written about it in my blog post, Wisdom of Your Body Working With and Not Against It, and I shared the link in the show notes below.

And number five, prioritize what truly matters. Your energy is finite. It's not infinite. It's precious. Don't waste it trying to fix everything at once. This is not something that we talk about enough. So you need to start with what is most important and ask yourself, what is one thing that I can do today to feel a little better? These small shifts, they may feel or look small, but they can lead to big transformation. Because when your health feels like an uphill battle. It's easy to think that pushing harder, doing more, and sacrificing your mental and emotional well-being is the only way to get results.

But here's the truth your body does not need more stress, or more complexity, or more guesswork. What it needs is clarity, alignment and support and that only you can give it, right? So that is why simplifying your health journey matters so much. And I keep talking about it because your body needs a break from chasing solutions, chasing medications when you're chasing your body, stuck in a survival mode and simplifying things allows you to step out of that cycle and give your body the space that it needs to heal. And of course, small, intentional changes lead to big wins.

Transformation does not come from perfection. And by what I mean by transformation is permanent change. Change that is long term so that when you see results, they are sustainable and they are long term. Since it comes from consistency. You need to take small, meaningful actions and that's how you build momentum. And that is what leads to lasting change, because it's all about feeling empowered and not powerless. Because when you simplify your approach, you reclaim control over your health. And this is one of the hallmarks of my coaching program, the BODY WISE transformation journey. Uh, it's coming up in a new chapter. Soon I'm going to share more details about that. It is about simplifying your approach and amplifying your life. It is about feeling empowered, feeling confident and in tune with your body. And because, you know, healing is a ripple effect when you start feeling better, when your energy improves, your symptoms ease, your mind becomes clear. It does not just end with transforming your body. It enhances your relationships, your work, and of course, the way you show up in the world, the way you share your gifts with the world.

And you deserve that because you deserve more than survival. I mean, I, I passionately believe in this, that it's not just about, you know, getting rid of 50 symptoms. It's not just about getting rid or, you know, lowering the pain symptoms or, you know, just suppressing the immune system so that we can get rid of a few symptoms, more symptoms. It's about creating a life that feels vibrant, aligned and full of possibility. You deserve that, right. And simplifying your wellness journey is the key to unlocking that light because it's possible for you. I have done it for my daughter. My there's you know, others are doing it for my clients.

So if it is resonating with you, it's time to start simplifying your health goals for real results. And that's exactly what we will do in the upcoming challenge. Gentle goals, big wins.
